Year 5/6 Football – Stockton Finals

Well done to our Year 5/6 football team that finished second in the Stockton Finals today.  They progressed from their group and won their semi-final.  Unfortunately, they lost on penalties to Ingleby Mill Primary School in the final.  It was a great performance by the team, especially considering that the majority of the team are Year 5 pupils and there was a pupil from Year 4.  Everyone at school is very proud of their achievement.

Thank you to Will from DF Coaching for working with the team in recent weeks and coaching them today.  Thanks to Mrs I’Anson too.

After progressing from the Eaglescliffe Cluster competition, the Girls’ Team also qualified for the Stockton Finals, which took place at Conyers School.  The team won their opening game 4-0 and were involved in some really close games in a competitive group.  Again, they were great representatives of our school and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
