On Thursday 28th February, ten children from Years 5 and 6 went to Stainsby Gym for a gymnastics competition. We were the first school to do the vault and it was quite hard, but we all did amazingly well. After that, we had our lunch in the parent’s room and waited until it was our turn on the floor.
About half an hour later, we began our warm up routine. Olivia was first to be judged in the vault and floor – she was really brave to step up and do it first. After we had all performed, the results were announced.
The standard of competition was high and we came 10th out of the 20 schools there. Oliver was 12th out of the 35 boys there and Ella was 13th out of the 80 girls there.
We all had an exceptional time and we’d like to thank Mr Sheahan for training us and going with us to the competition.
Take a look at photographs from the event.
