Where children and families come first

Welcome To Durham Lane Primary School

I am delighted to welcome you to the Durham Lane website.  Our school prospectus and school website are full of useful information about the school, its ethos, organisation and staffing. We hope you find it helpful. My vision is that Durham Lane Primary School is a centre for excellence, serving our children, their families and the community as best we can, making sure they achieve and succeed.

Our school is a special place full of learning, laughter and friendship where everyone is happy, feels safe and is valued. We enjoy the present, but look to the future – and aspire to equip our children with the skills, curiosity and resilience they need to continue learning throughout their lives.

Our children deserve the best from this school. Our duty is to provide it.

A huge thank you to Cleveland Fire Brigade UK who came to visit us today to tell us how to keep safe around fireworks on Bonfire Night. We all also got a turn of squirting the fire hose! 👨🏻‍🚒🔥🧯🚒🎇 ... See MoreSee Less

This afternoon, 6 Year 6 children joined Mrs Guest, Miss Barrett, Mrs Gregory and school Governor Mrs Rigg at the Stockton and Billingham Foodbank. We delivered all of the donated food from this morning’s Harvest festival. The manager, Helen, talked to us about why people might need the help of the foodbank and what they can do to help local families. The children had the opportunity to pack some boxes of food that will be going out to families tomorrow. This was an interesting and thought provoking afternoon for us all. Helen will be weighing the food and telling us the amount you donated in the near future. Thank you once again for your generosity. 🙏☺️ ... See MoreSee Less

Absolutely brilliant work! 👏🏼👏🏼

Thank you for the opportunity to go. It was interesting and thought provoking and the children were absolutely brilliant, well behaved and helpful. A budding photographer and a journalist in the making , as well as extremely efficient helpers.

Reverend Sylvia from St John’s Church joined us this morning for our Harvest assembly. She talked to us about the celebration of the Harvest past and present and being thankful for all that we have. The children shared some of their writing about the things that they are thankful for. We are very grateful to everyone who has donated food to support the Stockton and Billingham foodbank. Thank you! 🌾🥮🍱 ... See MoreSee Less
