Free School Meals

Pupil Premium

The Government provides additional funding to schools for children in certain key groups. This funding is known as the Pupil Premium Grant. It is intended to allow schools to make additional provision for children who are/have:
• in receipt of free school meals;
• looked after by the local authority;
• adopted from care;
• parents who are service personnel.
At Durham Lane Primary, we use this funding to enhance the achievement of pupils in these groups, where necessary. We offer additional teaching support, one-to-one tuition, targeted group teaching and individual tuition.
The funding is used to ensure the inclusion of pupils in all enrichment and extra curriculum opportunities and provide support with school uniform costs.
We track and monitor the attainment and progress of all children in this group as part of school accountability procedures.
Mrs Gregory (HT) currently leads on provision for children who are part of this group and any concerns or queries about eligibility may be discussed in confidence with her.
Please contact Mrs Gregory to make an appointment.
