Where children and families come first

Welcome To Durham Lane Primary School

I am delighted to welcome you to the Durham Lane website.  Our school prospectus and school website are full of useful information about the school, its ethos, organisation and staffing. We hope you find it helpful. My vision is that Durham Lane Primary School is a centre for excellence, serving our children, their families and the community as best we can, making sure they achieve and succeed.

Our school is a special place full of learning, laughter and friendship where everyone is happy, feels safe and is valued. We enjoy the present, but look to the future – and aspire to equip our children with the skills, curiosity and resilience they need to continue learning throughout their lives.

Our children deserve the best from this school. Our duty is to provide it.

It looks like an amazing, exciting time for all.

Yesterday, Year 5 and 6 went to Hartlepool Power Station and the Teesmouth Field Centre for an enjoyable day learning about science and geography. They got a tour of the power station, learning all about how electricity is made and then spent time at North Gare beach making models of the River Tees from source to mouth. The children were beautifully behaved and had a wonderful day. A big thank you to Johnson Matthey for providing the funds for the trip! ... See MoreSee Less

Thank you to everyone who has donated an Easter Egg or a prize for our Easter Raffle. The children are raising funds for a new playground shelter, which is going to cost approximately £12,000 - we do have some funds already saved to pay towards this but we are a little way off our target!

There is still plenty of time to buy your raffle tickets from either the school office or either via school comms.

Finally, if anyone would still like to donate to the raffle we would love some extra prizes!!!
