My vision is that Durham Lane Primary School is a centre for excellence, serving our children, their families and the community as best we can, making sure they achieve and succeed.

We are delighted to announce that we will be offering 30 hour provision. The children will continue with their morning placements, but we are now able to offer some flexibility for afternoon Nursery provision and before and afterschool provision. Mrs. Guest, the Nursery Teacher, will teach both in the mornings and the afternoons.
What a calm and relaxing start to the week in Year 1! We start off with some ‘brain gym’ exercises and now we are developing our handwriting skills, this week focusing on the letter ‘d’ and listening to some lovely piano music. By lying down on our bellies we are developing the core strength needed to perfect our handwriting. ✏️
On Tuesday, Year 1 and 2 had a great visit to Hopetown in Darlington. They loved exploring the museum and learning all about George Stephenson! 🚂
Today is World Mental Health Day so this afternoon the children have been taking in part in some mindful activities! 😌🧘🏼♀️🧘🏻♂️
